Autism from Menstruation to Menopause

This is the website for the Autism: from menstruation to menopause project.

The project aims to create new understandings of reproductive health experiences of Autistic women and others with wombs across the lifecourse. This includes things like periods, contraception, endometriosis and other gynaecological conditions, and menopause.

The project is Autistic-led and is co-governed by a Community Council of Autistic people. You can read more about this on the About us page. We have recently begun contacting participants for our research study, which will involve 100 Autistic people taking part in 10 interviews each over a 5-year period.

The project will last eight years, ending in October 2030. By this time, we hope to design tools to make healthcare more accessible for Autistic people.
